Working
space
Fast wifi, fancy desks, big monitors, no suits. Bring your laptop, your deadline and your hot takes.
Jamming. Soldering weird things. Brewing better coffee. Hosting workshops. A studio in Rotterdam where digital nomads, musicians, tinkerers, cooks and total weirdos share a roof, and build something together. No swipe card required.
Not open-plan hell. Not a café with wifi. TOFKAP is a studio split into four zones that actually do different things, because your brain isn't a spreadsheet.
Fast wifi, fancy desks, big monitors, no suits. Bring your laptop, your deadline and your hot takes.
Synths, drum machines, a mixer and the kind of neighbours who don't mind. Plug in and make noise.
Soldering iron, 3D printer, breadboards, a drawer of weird parts. Fix a broken thing. Invent a weird one.
Soft lamp, softer armchair. A kitchen that actually gets used. Take a nap, read a book, stare into space.
Rotterdam, Korte Bajonetstraat 40. Loud in the good way. Photos don't quite catch the smell of fresh coffee, sorry.

We built this because every co‑working in town felt like an office with plants. We wanted noise, curiosity, and people who make things, not just people who take meetings.
TOFKAP was born from the ashes of one of my previous studio adventures: Protobureau, a prototyping lab. Once that project wrapped, the place was too big for me alone, so me and a bunch of collaborators reinvented it together. The idea: a place for making friends, working on our own businesses, eventually helping each other out, but also building things with zero brakes on creativity. Turns out there aren't that many places in Rotterdam for jamming, either.
→ yes, that's where the name TOFKAP actually comes from. Read the story.
What began as a single room with a desk and a synth has grown into a small studio shared by a handful of people who come here to build, play, cook and hang out. Eight seats, two kinds of desks, zero corporate energy. That's the whole thing.
If any of this sounds like your kind of place, pop by. Coffee's on me.
A few honest answers to the questions that keep landing in our Instagram DMs. Still curious? Just pop by.
Five stars on Google from real humans who came, worked, jammed, cooked and came back. Read them all ↗
"I came in for an afternoon. Left at 1am after a jam session, a plate of pasta and three new friends. TOFKAP is basically an ADHD haven for creatives."
"The kind of place I wish existed in every city. Someone's always soldering something, someone's always making coffee. It just works."
"Proof that a coworking space doesn't have to feel like a dentist. Wonderful people, thoughtful design, and the free spaghetti Wednesdays are sacred."
"Walked in as a tourist looking for wifi. Walked out having played synths with strangers. 10/10 would be weird here again."
"My home office for three months. Fast wifi, warm lights, zero corporate energy. The plants are thriving, so am I."
"Ran a DIY electronics workshop here. They lent me a soldering station and baked focaccia for the attendees. Who does that? TOFKAP does that."
